Localization is a key element in creating a good cinematic experience for the global audience, helping viewers identify with history and characters, allowing them to represent different cultural perspectives and thus attracting a wider audience. But adapting a film to a new culture is a complex work, which involves much more than translating dialogues.
In this panel, which will take place on Friday (6/10), at 14h, we will address the main challenges faced in the processes of localization of a film and how the Brazilian industry can prepare to take a new step towards internationalization.
Aluysio Riquet, director of TransPerfect Media Brazil, and Juan Gagliano, director of operations at Centauro, both specialized in the location of audiovisual works. The moderation will be by film critic Roberto Sadovski, columnist of the UOL.
