With over 400 titles distributed, Elo Company will receive tribute at Expocine 2022
Acting in the national and international market, Elo Company develops, produces and distributes content that represents the diversity of the Brazilian public and seeks to entertain and positively impact the audience. Since its creation in 2005, it has been dedicated to distribution strategies from festivals, cinemas, television, video on demand and other media, in Brazil and in the international market.
Sabrina Nudeliman Wagon, CEO of the company, focused on building a line up of titles of great relevance and commercial potential, through acquisition of property rights, development of own projects and partnerships. Always looking for the diversity of market talents. As a result, for the next two years, in addition to eight productions of its own - including feature films and series - the Elo Company has been working on fourteen major film projects.
With passage by Mckinsey & Co, Sabrina established in Link a culture similar to that of technology companies, using analytics in the selection and development of properties, innovation dynamics, KPIs; just to name a few points. "We always focus on innovation! We have already had video channels on demand owners, with strong partnerships with companies such as TRAMA, and Skype (in 2007). We've prepared and executed branded projects. And we went through a vertical integration process increasing our scope of action by including the distribution of cinema in 2012 and audiovisual production in 2017. With the recent changes and market growth, we have invested in building a strong commercial line up and bringing brands closer together to build business models," he explains.
This year, the Elo Company was responsible for the distribution of "Provisional Measure", the first long fiction directed by Lázaro Ramos, which has more than 470,000 viewers, being in 1st place among the national films during its month of release in cinema and, recently, at Globoplay - besides bringing together more than 150 sponsored social sessions, which enabled an audience of over 20,000 people in cinemas, coming from communities and social organizations. "One of the things I believe most is in the power of audiovisual. Measure is entertainment, has the hero's journey and a little of each genre, such as drama and comedy. That is, it's made for the general public. At the same time, it has a strong cause. From the very beginning, we designed a commercial and communication strategy with Lazarus, producers and Globo Films involving these two pillars. This was fundamental for the film to have the success it achieved," says Sabrina.
Throughout its history, with more than 400 titles distributed (almost 100 in cinema), Elo was responsible for the strategy and distribution of the long "The Boy and the World", which competed at the Academy Award in the category of Best Animation and was sold to over 100 countries, and co-distributed "SOS Women to the Sea - 2" with over 2 million viewers.
The company also has its own productions with large market players such as "You Are a Not a Soldier" (HotDocs/BBO), "Unable Challenge" (Nat Geo/Disney+), "The Truth of Lie" (HISTORY/Amazon), "Trace Trends" (NetworkTV!/ Globoplay), "Falling in Real" (Telecine) and "Avenida Beira-Mar" (coproduction Elo Company, Viralata and Telecine), among others.
Valuing diversity with innovative projects, Elo is responsible for the ELAS Seal, which fosters the production of long films with female direction, the SELO ELAS Cabiria Telecine Award and PROJETA ÀS 7, a partnership with Cinemark that launched more than 25 unpublished Brazilian films, with different accents and scenarios, in a circuit of 20 fixed cinemas throughout Brazil, forming public and expanding the reach of national cinema.
For the coming years, the Elo Company aims to develop, produce and distribute projects that dialogue with the general public with innovative strategies in its various display windows.
The Link Company will be honored during the opening ceremony of Expocine 2022, in the Distribution category. The event takes place between 20 and 23 September, at the Cine Marquise and the Hotel Renaissance, in São Paulo (SP). Ensure your credentials Here..
