12th edition was public success with 2,300 participants; EXPOCINE Decupa brought together about 300 people

A EXPOCINE, the largest Latin American convention in the film and audiovisual industry, ended its 12th edition on Friday, day 3. Registering audience of 2,300 more participants, record number between the editions already held, and several presentations and panels of success among the public, now the organization of the event is preparing for the year 2026, seeking to raise even further the curated convention.

Already during the opening ceremony, EXPOCINE CEO Marcelo Lima announced the dates of the next five editions of the event: EXPOCINE 26: September 29 to October 2; EXPOCINE 27: September 28 to October 1, EXPOCINE 28: September 26 to 29; EXPOCINE 29: September 25 to 28; EXPOCINE 30: October 1 to 4. For him, "to decide the dates and locations for the next five years is nothing more than to believe in the continuous and evolutionary success of EXPOCINE," he explained.

Next year, the event comes with a big change. The operation that had been carried out until then at the Renaissance Hotel, such as the accreditation center, business fair and schedule of lectures and debates, will be transferred to Shopping Center 3. The Cine Marquise remains a space for the presentation of distributors, opening ceremony and workshops.

Marcelo also points out that the event has been evolving year after year, not only for the quality of the event with its panel discussions, business fair, workshops and other activities, but also for the moment of prominence of the Brazilian audiovisual market. "All fronts of the event, such as fair, content programming and distributors, recorded public records, with a general quorum higher than 90%.", he added.

Another highlight was the third edition of EXPOCINE Decupa, an event aimed at students and professionals in the audiovisual sector, which this time counted on "The Secret Agent" as a case study. By bringing together more than 300 participants, this success was the achievement of new partners and also partnerships with important universities. In addition, following the total audience of the event, the presence of students was even greater this year, including student support from Fine Arts, FAAP, Transform Platform and AIC, as well as audiovisual professionals in general.

"ExpOCINE is the complete link of the entire audiovisual chain. Not only in its departments (Production, distribution and exhibition), but also in its generations (students, beginners and veterans) and in its territories (Brazil and the world - mainly neighboring countries)." complements Marcelo. And for the next editions, the goal is to continue reaching more and more people in the sector to further strengthen discussions about industry.
With the theme "Brazil, Window to the World", EXPOCINE 25 promoted, in four days of event, conversations and debates about the historical moment that Brazilian cinema is currently experiencing and the next steps towards the internationalization of the sector. There were 25 exhibitors, 23 sponsors, 30 supporters, 14 distributors presenting content, three exclusive exhibitions, 14 discussion panels, five workshops, totaling more than 40 hours of content.
