In partnership with MAV, the event guarantees simultaneous translation into Portuguese, English and Spanish in 100% of the panels, consolidating accessibility as a strategic agenda of the audiovisual market

The audiovisual is born from the desire to tell stories that thrill, provoke, connect and help build the way we see the world. But every story only reaches its true potential when it can be shared. And no real trade happens when part of the sector is out of the conversation.

It was from this premise that the EXPOCINE defined another structural advance for its 2026 edition: In addition to the traditional opening ceremony, the panels and lectures of the event will feature translation in Libras and real-time subtitles in Portuguese, English and Spanish. . The measure broadens the scope of programming for professionals with hearing impairments, foreigners and for the growing Latin American delegation that has been present at the meeting in recent years.

The initiative is carried out in partnership with the MAV, specializing in accessibility solutions for the audiovisual market and recurrent partner of EXPOCINE in the construction of more inclusive experiences. With the expansion, 100% of the contents in the panels and lectures of the event begin to operate within the communication accessibility standard - a step that puts EXPOCINE among the main events of the sector in Brazil to adopt the practice on a total scale.

Stop Marcella Fazzio, MAV Director, the initiative is a reflection of a change in the level of market discussions:

"It is very significant to see accessibility occupy, year after year, an increasingly relevant space in the discussions of the audiovisual market. EXPOCINE is one of the main meeting points in the sector and can not only talk about accessibility, but ensure that the lectures are accessible - in Libras and with subtitles in Portuguese, English and Spanish - represents an important advance. Inclusion happens when people can participate in conversations, exchange experiences and contribute to the construction of the future of audiovisual."

More than an operational delivery, the decision places accessibility as strategic market agenda, and not just as an institutional agenda. In a scenario in which Brazilian cinema seeks to expand its international presence and diversify its audiences, eliminating barriers of communication within the sector's own decision-making forums is also broadening perspectives - allowing more professionals, creators, students and film lovers to be present in conversations that help define the direction of the industry.

When we eliminate barriers, strengthen connections, broaden the reach of ideas and build a more diverse, representative audiovisual and connected with the society we seek to portray on screens.

EXPOCINE 2026 awaits you.
