They are invited by Deborah Ivanov, from +Women Leaderships in the Brazilian Audiovisual, for a dialogue on the challenges to conquer the public in the cinemas and also on the inspiration brought by the South Korean model for the future of the market.
Beatriz Schmidt is the administrative and financial director of Espaço Itaú de Cinema. Passing through several areas of Itaú Unibanco, he took over the management and operation of cinemas for more than 14 years. With the mission of contributing to the formation of new audiences and spreading Brazilian culture through cinema, the circuit currently has 40 rooms in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. In 2018, he founded Arteplex Filmes, an independent film distributor focused on expanding the diversity of titles and providing different visions of cinema.
Patrícia Kamitsuji specializes in audiovisual and entertainment, having been the general director of Universal Pictures from 2019 to 2021 and has also been in charge of Fox-Warner's general board from 2012 to 2019. He participated in the implementation of the Cinemark network in Brazil, where he was until 1999 as manager of development and operations. He was general manager of Australia's operator Hoyts General Cinema South America in Brazil, participating in the implementation of the Guarulhos megaplex. In 2006, under its direction, Fox Film of Brazil recorded the largest annual box office of a distributor in the country. Two years later, the company became the distributor with the largest market share of national productions.
Lawyer, producer and partner of Gullane, Deborah Ivanov has more than 25 years of experience in the market, focusing on business areas and institutional relations. He was director of Ancine - National Film Agency between 2015 and 2019. She is the executive director of Siaesp - Union of Audiovisual Industry of the State of São Paulo. Her work in the area of Social Responsibility is a reference as founder of the Querô Institute, dedicated to young people from peripheral regions and the +Women Leaderships of the Brazilian Audiovisual.
