Event will have content accessible to PcD visual and hearing from partnership with company specialized in inclusive communication

A EXPOCINE 25 will have accessibility of content in all panels through the expertise of the company MAV, which will make the captioning in real time in Portuguese, English and Spanish, besides having Libras, aiming to ensure the full participation of all audiences. In addition, at 10 am on October 3 there will be the panel "Tele Without Barriers: Audiovisual with Accessibility of Truth", which will address the accessibility of content in the sector.

The 12th edition of Expocine takes place between September 30 and October 3. The panels will always be held at the Renaissance Hotel.

MAV is a company that operates globally with subtitling, audio description, sign language interpretation, translation and real-time accessibility technologies in multiple languages. The company, worth mentioning, serves from large Hollywood studios to festivals and TV stations.

"To be at Expocine means to transform one of the biggest events in Latin America's film industry into a more inclusive space. It is more than offering resources - it is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their sensory conditions, can actively accompany, interact and participate in the conversations and panels. For us, accessibility is a right, and taking this right to Expocine is also to inspire the market to adopt more inclusive practices," says Marcella Fazzio, MAV's director, to Portal Exhibition.

In this issue, Expocine will have unprecedented resources. All the panels held at the Renaissance Hotel theater will feature real-time subtitles in Portuguese, English and, for the first time, also in Spanish, generated by VOX LOAD technology, which ensures the simultaneous generation and distribution of subtitles for mobile devices without the need to download apps. Taking a step towards a more inclusive and participatory event, subtitles in Portuguese will also be displayed on screen, while the interpretation in Libras will be present in all panels.

In addition to providing the accessibility infrastructure, MAV is also present in the panel "Tele Without Barriers: Audiovisual with Accessibility of Truth", discussing practices, technologies and mindset changes necessary for representativeness and accessibility to walk together in cinema. The proposal is to provoke the market to see the theme as an integral part of audiovisual production, going beyond legal requirements.

The panel will have important professionals in the sector, being composed by Marcella Fazzio herself, besides the participation of Leandro Mendes, secretary of regulation of the AncineAnd Tiago Mafra, new director of ABRAPLEX. . The moderation is in charge of Edgar Jacques.

"Our goal is to share knowledge and experiences about accessibility, present successful cases and provoke reflections on how the market can be more inclusive. We want to show that accessibility is not only a compliance with the norm, but an opportunity to expand public, enrich experiences and make audiovisual more representative and diverse", Marcella adds.

Betting that 2025 is a milestone for the sector, the company expects the actions adopted at the event to be an inspiration for distributors, displays and producers to incorporate solutions accessible continuously. More than technical resources, the goal is to consolidate a new mentality in industry, in which inclusion and diversity are pillars as important as quality and innovation.

"Our expectation is that this edition of Expocine will be a milestone for accessibility in the audiovisual sector. We also want this to be an opportunity to expand connections and establish new partnerships so that together we can make cinema an increasingly plural and democratic space", adds the MAV director.

Finally, it is worth noting that MAV is already present in the cinemas, since it is the company responsible for the M Load, the first 100% Brazilian application to provide accessibility resources for cinema lovers.

"Our mission is to ensure that people with and without disabilities have their right to preserved information and can fully experience the experience of cinema, TV, events and other productions. We work with continuous improvement, listening to users, incorporating feedback and implementing innovative solutions. More than complying with laws and regulations, we work to enrich experiences, expand publics and create bridges between cultures and communities," concludes Marcella.
