The programming of panels from Expocine 2020 is filled with important content and news.
The event takes place on 15 and 16 October, in a totally virtual format. Registrations are already open. . On the 16th, the opening panel of the program will bring six important entities in the audiovisual sector to discuss their importance and role in the defense of the sector with the National Congress, TCU, Ministries, Anatel, Ancine. It will also be discussed the renewal of the Audiovisual and Recine Law, the approval of the Aldir Blanc Act, the resumption of the Sectoral Fund, the PEC of funds, TCU actions and impact on Ancine operation, merger of AT&T and Time Warner and changes in Seac law. Another point of the panel will be in relation to confronting the pandemic and safety protocol in the filming sets.
According to Cristiane Guzzi, executive producer of Expocine, the idea was to bring together entities from different regions of Brazil, thus bringing the fundamental perspectives of discussions that also transit outside the SP-RJ axis. They will be present at the API (Association of Independent Producers of the Brazilian Audiovisual), BRAVI (Independent Audiovisual Brazil), CONNE (Central-West, North and Northeast Audiovisual Connection), FAMES (Audiovisual Forum Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Sul/Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul), SICAV (Interstate Audiovisual Industry Union) and SIAESP (Audiovisual Industry Union of the State of São Paulo).
Cristiane also points out that this panel consolidates the aggregating role of the event in gathering the fronts of exhibition, distribution and production. "It is an achievement to be able to carry out this opening panel on the 16th, because it is a time when the sector wants to hear what the entities have done for the industry."
